Echoes is the sophomore album from Ethereal Darkness. Six sprawling compositions, sixty minutes of atmospheric melodic death/doom that moves through grief, loss, and the quiet weight of being human.
Each song descends into its own darkness, but none truly stays there. From the collapse and renewal of "Gone With The Tide" to the cyclical decay and rebirth of "The Cycle," from the still, frozen solitude of "Winter" to the devastating farewell of "IV," the album traces a path through places most people try to avoid. "On The Edge Of The Cliff" is the darkest point, a free fall with no safety net. But it's followed by "Realization," the album's longest and final piece, where something shifts. Not exactly what you'll call a happy ending, but at least, an honest one.
Melancholic guitar harmonies, crushing atmospheric weight, and vocals that move between anguished growls and solemn cleans weave together into something vast yet deeply personal.
